It still amazes me that most, if not all motorhomes, only come installed with the most basic of audio systems as standard. This is good news for the customer however as they can then choose what sort of upgrade they need to suit their requirements and budget. We have this week being installing a nice simple audio upgrade into a Burstner motorhome, which has been fitted with 2 sets of replacement Rainbow SLC230 component speakers, a Hertz EP5 amplifier and a Hertz ES250 subwoofer.
The whole installation has been carried out with the minimum of disruption to the van, and in fact the Rainbow speakers were almost a direct replacement for what was fitted originally, with only the amplifier and subwoofer requiring any sort of custom installation. We also replaced the standard basic head unit with a higher spec Kenwood unit to enable all 5 channels of the amplifier to be used effectively.
The end result was an amazing sounding vehicle for a lot less cost than most people imagine. If you would like any further information on upgrading your sound system please do not hesitate to get in touch.
