  • The new DB1.2 offers its user an outstanding balance of power and sound quality. The DB1.2 was developed specifically to be a heavier duty version of the DB1.1. Building on the series architecture of an oversize power supply and efficient heat-sink design the DB1.2 will run hard for extended listening periods without being overworked. With Class D topology, the DB1.2 is highly efficient in power exchange and delivery; less power wasted, less heat generated, less distortion and longer service life. The circuit design is robust enough to deliver powerful bass while remaining poised and refined, producing a balanced accurate sound across the full bass audio spectrum. At detail level we included 2 positive and 2 negative speaker terminals making it easier for you to connect two subwoofers or dual voice coil subwoofers to the one amplifier. Naturally there is a full set of sound controls; variable low pass, variable subsonic filter and a parametric bass boost (frequency and level). For those tracks that deserve “just that bit extra” we also included a wired cockpit bass remote for on the fly adjustment.

    V1 – The V1 production model had a short life and only 300 units were produced. V2 – Moved production to a new facility and changed the design completely. Featured increased power output and ability to link 2 amps to one output. V3 – Addressed the issues with phase alignment making it complicated to link 2 amps and simplified this. It also added better terminals and different remote control, as well as slightly higher power output. V4 – 2016 styling badge, as well as increased overall performance. 16v ready. Quoted theroetical output figures revised after testing. We did discuss a V5 model which was to be the same but with a fan to lower running temperatures under heavy load. We changed our mind about this and instead created the DB1.2s with more power for those applications where running a V4 DB1.2 would have really pushed the board to the limit.
